Exciting news is on the horizon for the Gypsy and Traveller community in Dorset as significant steps forward are being taken in 2024. Key among these advancements is our vital partnership between Citizens Advice Central Dorset, Citizens Advice BCP and Kushti Bok.

Kushti Bok, led by Romany Traveller,  Betty Smith-Billington, has expanded with the opening of its new office at 3B Consort House, Princes Road, Ferndown, Dorset, BH22 9JG. This move represents a major milestone for the organisation's ongoing efforts to serve the needs of the Gypsy and Traveller population.

Adding to this progress is the appointment of Karen Packman as the Advocacy Worker for the central Dorchester CAB office in partnership with Kushti Bok. Karen's role highlights the project's commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by the Gypsy and Traveller communities with practical support.

Meanwhile, having left her role with CAB, Abby Young has joined Kushti Bok as our first employee,. Abby is taking on the role of our new coordinator. In this role, she will play a crucial part in advancing the organisation's mission to represent and support Gypsies and Travellers across Dorset.
